Lima 1997

Having a welcome to South America pisco sour (ok, two) in Lima before another flight to Santiago. Was last here two years ago and despite the relatively short lapse in time it seems I've been transported back to the '90s - with the ersatz Saarinen chairs and mock Warhol decor. And no - I'm not hating, I'm loving it! I wish things were as blissfully prosperous as those days... and Lima seems to be refreshingly behind the curve.

The flight over was pleasant, with lots of Chilean wine to soothe any anxiety.

Next stop: Valparaiso via Santiago.
